Music has been in Rob’s family and blood ever since he was a child.
He and his brothers were constantly making music on whatever
instruments happened to be around. ..always rockin’ out in the
garage. He would eventually find his way back to it…..
Rob is a fifth generation Colorado native who moved all over the US
and Europe during his childhood. He eventually settled back in
Colorado. He spent many years as a bass player in some of
Colorado's favorite bands. (the original Liz Barnez Band, toured
Europe with the Spencer Bohren Trio w/ legendary New Orleans
drummer John Vidacovich, Touch Monkeys, JD & the Love Bandits,
Migration and Windfall with Randy Pfeuffer,etc.) Rob’s duo The
Moonlight Rhythm Band was a perennial favorite in Northern
Colorado. He also achieved regional success with the rock band
Canebrake Run.
Rob is a seasoned solo performer and a great entertainer. He
embraces the troubadour tradition. He also performs as a duo with a
drummer, and is a veteran bandleader, often backed by some of the
finest players in the region. His music has been described as
"...Americana heartland rock, country,blues, and R&B... ripe with
the spirit of his Rocky Mountain home..." Solomon has long been a
favorite in the Colorado Front Range music scene, as well as the
Rocky Mountain ski area towns. He has won several awards for his
performances, and has hosted many popular songwriter showcases
and open stages. In addition to his wonderful original songs, Rob has
a huge repertoire of cover songs he has accumulated over the years
Rob resides in Denver, CO and brings his music to audiences all
over the state and Rocky Mountain region. His songs seem to appeal
to a broad base of listeners. Rob released the song demo CD "songs
from the great divide..." in August 2001 on his own label. His debut
solo CD "Rob Solomon" was released in 2004. He had help on the
album from his brother Jesse Solomon and members of the highly
acclaimed group the subdudes, both of whom Rob has collaborated
with many times.The CD still gets great reviews from listeners all
over the world.Rob is currently assembling songs for a new CD
project.
Solomon is available for all types of musical events. He can perform
solo, duo, trio, or with a full band. He accepts House Concert dates as
well as club, concert, or festival bookings. Rob uses state of the art
sound equipment and maintains reliable transportation. References
